It was organized at the Oueen Complex in Calarasi, on 31.01.2019, with a duration of 2 hours, starting at 10 a.m.

The event was attended by representatives of the press, local authorities and public institutions, NGOs from both Romania and Bulgaria. Also, representatives of the project partners were present. During the conference were presented: the purpose of the project, the project partners, the beneficiaries, the implementation area, the main activities, the expected results. The activities carried out within the project are addressed to the cross-border target areas in Romania – Călărași, Giurgiu and Teleorman counties and from Bulgaria – Ruse, Silistra and Veliko Tărnovo.

The beneficiaries of this project are represented by the target groups: travel agents, tour operators, accommodation and public food units, transport companies, cultural and artistic objectives (museums, theaters) as well as fishermen’s associations, indigenous population and last but not least – tourists (final beneficiaries).

The activities carried out within the project will ultimately lead to an increase in the number of tourists in the targeted areas and to the economic and social development of the cross-border areas included in the project, by creating new jobs, reducing unemployment, taking into account permanently the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage.
