Information meeting in Alexandria
During the period 05-07 September 2019, a consultative meeting was held in Alexandria, organized within the project “Fishing – cross-border tourism opportunity / product and sustainable use of natural heritage and resources”, ROBG code 402, INTERREG VA Romania-Bulgaria Program, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
In the first part of the meeting, the project manager spoke the words of welcome addressed to all those who accepted the invitation to take part in the consultative meeting organized within the project.
This consultative meeting was attended by people working in local public administration, travel agents, fishermen’s associations, hotel managers and restaurants, representatives of travel agencies, operators and other fisheries stakeholders, as an opportunity. cross-border tourism.
On the first day of the meeting, the tourist packages were presented:
FISHNAT “SIL-CA” Lupșanu, Iezerul Călărași, Călărași, Silistra, Antimovo Dam, Tutrakan, presented by Șebe Gabriel
FISHNAT “GI-RU” (Comana, Giurgiu, Lipnik Park, Nikolovo, Ruse, Ivanovo, Shtraklevo), presented by Kyosev Svetoslav – president of the Association “Tourist fishing club.”
FISHNAT “TE-TAR” (Balta Lazar, Alexandria, Turnu Măgurele, Nikopol, Alexander Stamboliiski Dam, Veliko Tărnovo, Yovkovtsi Dam), presented by Daniel Enăchescu, president of the Branch of the Association Can.
The second day of the activities was presented the material “Advantages of promoting FISHNAT brand tourism packages”, and the discussions were continued regarding the FISHNAT tourism packages presented.
In the last day there were discussions based on the material presented regarding the advantages of promoting / selling FISHNAT packages.
Travel agencies play an important role in defining tourist packages, as they interact directly with tourists who express their desires vis-à-vis the conditions they wish to have during their stay.
Travel agencies have mentioned that tourists want to enjoy the authenticity of the place, traditions, local food, but also originality. Excited and satisfied tourists will want to return to the same places, promoting in their circles the approved tourist package. In the case of Veliko Târnovo city in Bulgaria, you cannot visit all the tourist attractions offered by the city in 1-2 days, leading to the return of the tourist to visit the other sights.
The meeting was organized at the Edma Hotel, Aristocrat salon, which provided the event room, the technical support for the presentation of materials, coffee-break served during the workshops – coffee, water pastry, tea, soft drinks, accommodation services and table.
The event, on September 5-7, was attended by 27 people.
